Batawa is and always has been a true hometown. Set in the rolling countryside of Quinte West, just minutes from Prince Edward County, picturesque Batawa is a friendly village with a superb school, child care centre, seniors' and Lions clubs, 3 hockey rinks in the winter, a natural playground, a community centre. Batawa Ski Hill offers a newly renovated chalet, available for weddings and event rentals. The ski hill offers many different options for our community members year round; including skiing and snowboarding, ski school, hiking and biking trails, summer camp and a 40' T-rex replica. The Bata Shoe Factory, opened earlier this year after a comprehensive rebuild, offering excellent facilities with state of the art mechanical systems, 47 luxury rental apartments on floors 3, 4 and 5 and the ground and second floors have been prepared for commercial endeavours. The Military Family Resource Centre has recently opened most attractive child care centre on the ground level. Heat and Hydro is $60/month for approximately 400 Sq Ft and TMI is $5/month per sq ft.
